Hotdoggers are spokespeople for Oscar Mayer, traveling the country in the iconic Wienermobile, which acts as a “PR firm on wheels.” Hotdoggers are in charge of pitching local media, appearing in TV, newspaper, and other local media interviews, as well as managing travel and event logistics.
I began my journey on the hotdog highways in June 2023 as part of the Midwest team. I’m currently in my second six months and am part of the South team, exploring all the way from Alabama to Texas! So far, I’ve traveled to 12 states, 35 cities, and met thousands of people along the way.
Selected from thousands to be one of 12 Hotdoggers in the Wienermobile’s 26th class, I’ve learned so much about myself on this job. Hotdoggers wear many hats: from social media gurus creating weekly content for Oscar Mayer and personal accounts to cleaning the Wienermobile to appearing in local media interviews to represent the Oscar Mayer brand. This position requires extreme flexibility and my ability to solve problems on the fly and roll with the punches have skyrocketed this year.
What is it Like to be a hotdogger?
I edited this video on Adobe Premier Pro as a tool to recruit the next class of Hotdoggers. It’s a “peek under the bun” of what goes into being a Hotdogger and what a week in your life is on the road for a full year.
MY SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT
These are all videos I made for my hotdogger instagram account. A few of these were posted on Oscar Mayer’s channels with 47,000 followers.
